I bought a new 60G HDD for my Dell Inspiron 8600 so I could have a dedicated disk for OpenSolaris. I installed the latest Solaris Express Developers Edition last night. The install worked great. The display was detected properly and even sound works! The wired and wireless network interfaces did not work but this was quickly fixed after I downloaded and installed the packages. The wireless configuration was painless and works great! The next thing to do is work on the power management.
